Cross-section of Me

Odds are, I should be doing laundry right now.

If you want to know why I created this blog, read this post.

If you want to know more about me, read on then.

I am a proud graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and I have not so proudly moved right back in with my parents while I am in limbo with the FAA waiting for my career as an air traffic controller to begin. For God’s sake, if you know an air traffic controller who can get me a job, PLEASE let me know. (Preferably, this magical person works in Tampa, anywhere in Florida, or at the very least, somewhere in the southeast.)

Since I have had quite a bit of time on my hands since graduation, I’ve been able to explore some hobbies, take lots of naps, and spend what should be rent money on charity and amassing my collection of backpacking/camping/kayaking gear.

I love to knit. I dabble in sewing on occasion. I read books. I pin. I am a gym rat (30min to an hour at a time anyway).

I like good cheeses, good wine, great beer, unbelievably adventurous vacations, and my cat.

I’m very lucky to be who I am because I have recently come to realize that I am more or less content all the time despite any circumstances, frustrations, or diversions that may crop up in my life. I am happy and while it may have something to do with my attitude and patience, I’m starting to think that a lot of it is about God. Weird.

Hope this page does its rightful duty and gives you an idea of who I am and what I’m about. If you have non-creepy questions that definitely don’t delve too far into my personal life (e.g. “Where exactly do you live?”; “Are you single?”), I welcome them! (Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t like to talk about themselves?)
